Summer is in full swing! Pastor Scott is away at Army Chaplain school for his work with the Ohio National Guard, but ministry continues to move forward at Eastside! We are very thankful for our friends at Carthage Church of the Nazarene and around the district who have helped fill the gaps this summer.
In June, some of our tween group, led by four adults, ventured to Birmingham and Tuscaloosa to help provide disaster relief cleaning up from the devastating spring tornadoes. We teach Missional ministry to all ages!
In June and July, our church provided a one-day VBS style ministry in two housing projects in urban Covington. All ages were represented in our helpers and leaders for this local Missional ministry!
On August 1st – 5th, 2011, Eastside will host its annual Vacation Bible School. After the wonderful time we had last summer, you won’t want to miss a single night or the Sunday following! We ventured under the sea last year, but this year we are blasting off to M.A.R.S.!! Come join us for this special week!

Ash Wednesday this week kicked off a three month season for Eastside and many other churches around the globe. The journey through the Christian season of Lent, to Easter, and on to the Day of Pentecost. Through this time, we at Eastside are excited to learn about fasting & repentance, death & resurrection, and a Spirit-empowered life!
Also, we now have audio from our services online! See the link at the top.

We are excited for a new year of growing deeper in love with Jesus!
In addition to our great Worship Services on Sunday mornings, we have a new Worship / Discipleship service on Sunday evenings at 6:00pm. We are utilizing Francis Chan’s book, Crazy Love, to assist in becoming more passionate followers of Christ.
God help us, Holy Spirit guide us!
